LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING
Please register for the appropriate stream to be fair to other participants. The timeframes are intended as a guide only and depend on individual experience and learning pace. Sorry, these workshops are not for new dancers or those who've recently started. Hopefully you'll be able to join us next year!

Intermediate
You’ve been attending classes and socials regularly for at least a year. You're comfortable social dancing at medium tempos and can mix up your six and eight count footwork with confidence. You understand the concepts of connection and frame and are prepared to spend time working on them. You’re starting to incorporate musicality into your dancing and you’ve done some Solo Jazz such as the Shim Sham.

Advanced
You’ve been attending workshops and socials regularly for a number of years. You’re confident and versatile on the social dancefloor and incorporate musicality and improvisation in every dance. You welcome challenges in workshops and are ready to further refine your technique and work on more complex variations. You take every opportunity to develop your Solo Jazz and bring this into your partner dancing.
