Solo Jazz with Cati Gentili

Who's it for?
The workshop is for all experience levels, whether you're just starting out or have several years' experience or more. Ideally you'll have a basic knowledge of Solo Jazz or Lindy Hop, or are a dancer from another discipline. If not but you're a confident mover, feel free to join us if you're ready to give Solo Jazz a try!

Cati is from Italy and currently lives in London. She's passionate about Solo Jazz and has been been teaching regularly at festivals around the UK since 2019.
During the workshop you will explore and solidify your solo jazz technique and expression. Starting from the big pillar of phrasing in jazz and the use of simple but effective rhythms, we will then move towards exploring full body grooves both in improvisation and choreography.
Ultimately, these sessions will aim to provide both a strong technical foundation and a practice method that you can continue to use in your dance journey. The final goal will always be uncovering your individual expression and body-connection through this beautiful dance form.

2 x 1.5-hour sessions with a 30-minute break in the middle.

Higher-level Lindy Hop with Katie Cobalt & Sean Vitale

Who's it for?
The workshop is for those with a solid knowledge of Lindy Hop and plenty of experience on the social dance floor. If you're not sure, feel free to get in touch or chat to one of us at our weekly social.
We're thrilled to announce that Katie Cobalt is returning to Brighton to teach Lindy Hop - and she's bringing her good friend Sean Vitale, who is visiting from the USA.
Katie and Sean have a sparkling, dynamic energy when teaching together and create a fun and supportive space for learning.
