Beyond the Basics: Lindy Hop with Katie Cobalt & Sean Vitale

Who's it for?
This workshop is for anyone who's been dancing socially for a while and wants to go Beyond the Basics! If you've been coming to our Fundamentals drop-in classes for a while, this is for you. If you're not sure, feel free to get in touch or chat to one of us at our weekly social.
We're thrilled to announce that Katie Cobalt is returning to Brighton to teach Lindy Hop - this time with her good friend Sean Vitale, who is visiting all the way from the USA. This is going to be special!
The workshop will be in two parts:
Fast Dancing - How to dance FAST while keeping your COOL
When the fast song comes on you don't have to run to the bar! We are going to give you some tips and tricks to dance speedy without becoming a sweaty mess.
MAGIC on the dance floor - Social dancing that SPARKLES
It's always spectacular when something happens on the social floor that neither partner expected and yet somehow it worked! In this class we're going to work on how to build your communication skills to make those magical moments happen.

2 x 1.5-hour sessions with a 30-min break + 30 mins practice time with the teachers

We absolutely loved our Solo Jazz workshop with Cati Gentili - so inspiring, with lots of ideas and improvisation tools for the social dancefloor.
We hope to get her back to Brighton before too long. Cati is a wonderful teacher!
SOLO JAZZ WITH GABS NOVELLINO (BRAZIL)

We were thrilled that Gabs visited us in Brighton during her travels around Europe to share her passion for Solo Jazz. We had a wonderful day of dancing with her, inspired by the early generations of Authentic Jazz dancers!
